Checks are events, locations, and bosses which, upon completion, reward the player with a character, esper, or item. Various checks are limited to a subset of the three possible reward types. For example, some checks may only reward either an esper or item and never a character.

Item rewards are randomly selected with a uniform distribution. The possible items are:

Below are the available checks each character has upon recruitment, listed in alphabetical order, aside from checks that do not require any specific characters which are listed first. Each check lists which world (Or worlds, if available in both) it is located in, the possible rewards, and the original boss or bosses tied to that location.

Auction House

Eight Dragons

After defeating each dragon, an item will be awarded along with what drops in battle. Note that there is no additional reward for defeating all eight dragons.

Kefka at Narshe

Speak to the NPC waiting at the top of the Narshe Battlefield to begin. The battle involves two parties instead of three due to restrictions on the number of characters and NPCs allowed on a map at one time.

A thief in the eastern forest of Tzen sells a reward for a random price between 1 and 65535 selected using a uniform random distribution. Prices differ between the WOB and WOR.
